If you are of Ngāti Whare descent you can chose to register as a beneficiary of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whare. We encourage all Ngāti Whare, wherever you may live (Aotearoa or overseas) to register.
Being a beneficiary means you will be eligible to participate in elections and be kept up to date of events and Iwi news.
Each Ngāti Whare person needs to fill out their own registration form. If you have children under the age of 18 years, you are required to fill out separate registration forms for each of them. You may sign these forms on their behalf.
If you are a validated beneficiary and have recently turned 18, we require you to fill out your own form to participate in Elections and Postal Ballots.
As part of the registration process you must identify your line of descent back to your Tipuna of Ngāti Whare, preferably a Ngāti Whare grandparent or great-grandparent alive in the earlier part of the twentieth century.
You can view the List of Owners in the Te Whaiti Block to assist with your registration form.
We are currently reviewing the online registration form. In the meantime, you can register by printing, completing and returning this form. Thank you
If you are already a beneficiary of Ngāti Whare it is important we have up to date information in order to contact you. If you have moved house, changed your name, email address or phone number email the Rūnanga and let us know.
It's easy to update your details online and will only take a minute.
