Ngāti Whare is an iwi (tribe) of the central North Island, whose customary rohe (territory) runs through the south-west Urewera and parts of the Kaingaroa region, including the area known as Te Whaiti-nui-a-Toi.

Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tane
Conservation Management Plan
The official launch of the Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tane Conservation Management Plan between Te Runanga o Ngati Whare and the Department of Conservation will take place at the Offices at 1188 Main Road, Murupara on Saturday 21 October 2017 starting from 10.00am.
